Royal Decree No. 2025/29, signed by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik al Said, gave Maria Viktor Anatolyevich Argentova Omani nationality and permitted her to have both Omani and Russian citizenship.

Following the new Omani Nationality Law, which was issued on February 2, 2025, by Royal Decree No. 2025/17, which stated in its fifth article: This is the first decree that grants citizenship.

“Oman citizenship cannot be combined with any other nationality unless a Royal Decree is issued on the Minister’s recommendation.”
