Hollywood’s real parties start after the final Oscar is given out at the Academy Awards, and the most glamorous of these is the Vanity Fair soirée every year.

You might unintentionally run into Doja Cat, who gave a fantastic performance as part of the James Bond medley at the awards show earlier in the evening, and be reminded that, well, mythic characters like Beck or Sarah Paulson are real people who eat and drink. There is so much going on that celebrities like Camilla Cabello may just sit and observe from the sidelines.

As diverse as Kim Kardashian and Hailey Bieber, Jon Hamm and Bowen Yang, Lil Nas X and Connie Britton, and others, the gathering at the Wallis Annenberg Center in Beverly Hills late Sunday was a Google image search of famous faces on overdrive.

Among the attendees, Megan Thee Stallion was ethereal, wearing a deep green gown that was revealing and included feather appliqués and translucent fabric throughout. Attendees were very careful not to trip on or snag the amazing couture because of her and the other dress trains, including the one owned by the gorgeous Cynthia Erivo.

There was no sign that anyone was affected by the 3.9 earthquake that struck nearby North Hollywood just as the party was getting underway. Zoe Kravitz, Seth Rogen, Justin Theroux, Danielle Brooks, Christina Ricci, Mindy Kaling, BJ Novak, and Kelly Rowland were among the guests, and they were mingling while the bass pumped.

To the untrained eye, Uzo Aduba, Danielle Brooks, and Natasha Lyonne’s reunion of old friends appeared to be a mega-reunion of “Orange is the New Black.” (Lyonne also starred in the 1999 lesbian film “But I’m a Cheerleader” and was close to her talented co-star Clea DuVall.)

It must be noted that official Oscars correspondent and social media ambassador Amelia Dimoldenberg and Andrew Garfield, who host “Chicken Shop Date,” were spotted catching up at the bar. Other couples spotted together included Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet, Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor, and Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom. (Perhaps there’s sufficient justification to continue stanning them?)

Demi Moore, who went with all three of her daughters, was a magnificent presence who accepted the “you shoudla wons!” with her customary faultless elegance, despite the fact that she did not receive a trophy at the awards that preceded the celebration. She was even greeted with a warm grin and light chat about her allegorical horror film’s historic Oscar nominations this year by a crazed “Substance” fan wearing the distinctive yellow coat made famous by her character Elisabeth Sparkle (full disclosure: that crazy fan was this writer).

As the soirée unfurled past midnight, the ambiance took on an even more carefree air, with Oscars host Conan O’Brien – while minding his famed bouffant – remarking that it was nice to be done with the job at hand. But much like the party he was at, Conan pulled it off with charm and elegance.
